Bringing Music to Life through Concert Visuals

At FRAY Studio, every project starts with a love for live music — that shared moment when sound and light connect everyone in the room. For years, we’ve poured that passion into stage video design, crafting visuals that makes an audience feel the music as much as they hear it. Our goal is to give audiences the best possible experience of an artist’s music: transforming sound into a living, breathing visual performance. By combining video technology such as LED screens and projection with lighting, and stage design, we create experiences where music comes alive and the atmosphere draws the audience deep into the artist’s world.

Collaborative Creative Process

Our approach to concert visuals is rooted in collaboration. We work hand in hand with production designers, management teams, creative directors, and the artists themselves; be it in formal meetings or when an idea excites us and we want to share it. Every project begins with a deep interest in the artist’s vision, whether that’s the overall identity of a band, the aesthetic of a campaign, or the specific message of a tour.

This collaborative ethos ensures that our concert visuals feel authentic, emotionally resonant, and fully aligned with the artist's campaign. Some of our favourite moments on a project are when the team’s ideas all align into one world and we see the idea come alive on stage.  We design visuals that don’t just support the music , they become part of it, amplifying emotion, story telling and energy.

Innovating in Real Time

At FRAY Studio, we are leaders in experimenting with new and exciting show technologies. We’re proud of our history of embracing technological innovation, such as integrating Notch, Unreal Engine and Touch Designer within shows. We’ve been at the forefront of bringing real-time tools and processes into video design and tour video content, allowing the visuals to appear as though they’re running perfectly on timecode, even when the band is playing completely live with no timecode. This seamless integration between performance and technology keeps each show dynamic and alive as well as being about to react to spontaneous moments.  Our favourite moments are when we look at a show and see technology & creativity take a genuine step forward together while enriching an audience's experience.

We love to innovate, constantly exploring how emerging technologies can enhance visual content for live shows and push the boundaries of what’s possible on stage. For us, live music is the most exciting space to experiment, evolve, and redefine the relationship between sound, image, and audience experience.

Artists We’ve Worked With

We’ve been fortunate to collaborate with artists whose work we’ve admired for many years from global icons like Coldplay and The Rolling Stones, as well as emerging voices such as Arlo Parks and established artists like PJ Harvey. Each collaboration is unique, there’s no single formula. Whether it is a personal acoustic moment or a stadium anthem our goal is the same, to make the stage design feel like an extension of the artist's soul.

Recognition & Gratitude

We’re honoured that our work in projection design, tour content design, and stage video design has been recognised by the Knight of Illumination &  TPI Awards, and featured in leading industry publications.  However it is not just recognition in the media that matters, messages from the fans telling us how the visuals made them feel like part of something larger are massively rewarding.  Each project reflects our passion for transforming live music  into something unforgettable.

At FRAY Studio, we don’t just create concert visuals, we bring music to life on stage.
