J Balvin headlined the 2020 Fortnite Afterlife Party on Halloween. This in-game concert highlighted Epic Games’ ongoing commitment to pushing technological boundaries and bringing the best, live music to Fortnite.

Blink Inc was commissioned to produce the xR performance and brought FRAY Studio on-board for a truly international collaboration between studios that are trying to advance xR.

FRAY created Act 1 of the show, using Notch to power our work. We created a 3D sculpted pumpkin as a platform for J Balvin’s performance, fully animated lighting systems, trap doors and elevators, a flying bird and terrifying spider legs that could grow and push the whole scene high into the air.
